July 2009 - Monthly Event

School Fees and a Month’s Provision for the Mentally Challenged / Orphan Home

For July 2009 month’s event, we had visited Samarpana (Home for Mentally Challenged & Spastics) on 26th July 2009. At present, this organization takes care of nearly 51 (Mentally Challenged – 45 & Orphans – 6). We provided a Month’s Provision, Breakfast, Dinner and Ice Cream. We also provided Monthly School Fees for 4 Orphan children consolidated for the whole year. We spent some time with the children, by interacting, playing, dancing with them. All the volunteers who had the opportunity to visit the home were overwhelmed on seeing the mentally challenged children, and on hearing about the difficulties faced by them in their day-to-day tasks. All the care is taken by the management of the home and they are nursed with love and affection which they greatly require.
