Project #1
A Month’s Provision provided for a Poor / Orphan Children’s Home with 22 Inmates @ Puzhal, Chennai
For July 2010 month’s event, we had gathered together at Vallalar Karunai Illam Home (Formerly “Perumal – Subbaiah Memorial Home”) for Poor / Orphan Children with 22 inmates. This Home provides free food, shelter, education, medical care and other basic needs of life to all the inmates of the Home. We came to know that they were struggling for their day-to-day needs. So, we provided a Month’s Provision for this home along with Uniform Stitching Charges / Blouse Material & Stitching Charges. We provided Sweets, Savories and Chocolates for all the inmates of the Home on the day of our visit. We also entertained them by conducting various games such as Musical Chair and Talent Show. The Children enjoyed the day and had fun.

Food Expenses for Poor Physically Challenged Working Women of Thiyagam Women’s Trust, Madurai
Thiyagam Women’s Trust is providing free accommodation to Physically Challenged Working Women, who hail from poor background in rural areas around Madurai. They had been collecting Rs.400/- towards providing food for the physically challenged women who are working in the Thiyagam Tailoring Unit and Thiyagam Computer Centre. From November 2009 onwards we have been taking care of the Food Expenses for the 10 poor Physically Challenged Working Women. We have provided Rs. 5,250/- towards the Food Expenses for the month of July 2010.

Rent for August 2010 month provided for a Poor / Orphan Children’s Home with 22 Inmates @ Puzhal, Chennai
Vallalar Karunai Illam Home (Formerly “Perumal – Subbaiah Memorial Home”) was struggling to pay their rent. So, we haveprovided Rent for the month of August 2010. We have already provided a month’s provision in May 2009, July 2009 and July 2010 to this home and also paid rent of this home during September 2009 – July 2010.

A Month’s Provision for a Poor / Orphan / Semi-Orphan Children’s Home @ Nemilichery, Chennai
Gandhiji Rehabilitation Centre, Nemilichery, Chennai takes care of 25 inmates almost all of them being poor / orphan / semi-orphan. This Home provides free food, shelter, education, medical care and other basic needs of life to all the inmates of the Home. We came to know that they were struggling for their day-to-day basic needs. As per their request, we provided a Month’s Provision to this Home. We have already provided monthly provisions on several occasions to this Home.

Partial Educational Aid for S. Kanchana (XI Standard)
We came to know about a girl named S. Kanchana hailing from a poor family referred by our volunteer Senthil Kumar, who was unable to pay the school fees since her father is working as a sweeper. We have provided Partial School Fees for her 11th Standard amounting to Rs. 3,000/-

Educational Aid for M Vignesh (L.K.G)
We came to know about a boy named M. Vignesh hailing from a poor family referred by our volunteer Annapoorani, who was unable to pay the school fees since his father is not working and his mother is working as House Maid. We have provided School Fees for his L.K.G amounting to Rs. 3,850/-

We came to know about a girl named S. Lavanya hailing from a poor family referred by our volunteer Annapoorani, who is unable to pay the school fees since her father is not working and her mother is working as House Maid. We have provided School Fees for her 1stStandard amounting to Rs. 3,905/-

Partial Educational Aid for P Chandana (M.Sc., Computer Science)
We came to know about a girl named P. Chandana hailing from a poor family referred by our volunteer Narahari, who was unable to pay the college hostel fees since her father is no more and her mother is earning by taking Tuitions. We have provided Partial College Hostel Fees for her 1st Year M.Sc. (Computer Science) amounting to Rs. 10,000/-

Educational Aid for R Praveen Kumar (VII Standard)
We came to know about a boy named R. Praveen Kumar from a poor family referred by our volunteer Revathy Suresh, who has lost his father. His mother is working as a house maid. We have provided School Fees for his 7th Standard along with the Uniforms amounting to Rs. 7,500/-
Attached is the Contribution & Expenses Open Account Sheet with Bill number column, for your reference, along with the scanned bills. We appreciate your valuable Suggestions/Comments about the event to plan and improve our future events. The excess amount of Rs. 33,145.35 would be utilized for August 2010 month’s event.
