Note Books / Pens / Inner Wears for a Children’s Home for Girls



For August 2009 month’s event, we visited Government Children’s Home for Girls on 30th Aguust 2009. At present, this organization takes care of nearly 210 children who are poor, orphan, missing, abandoned, neglected, destitute and delinquent and Women who are victims of immoral trafficking from the age of 5 years to 18 years are brought to the Government Children’s Home for Girls. We provided Note Books / Pens / Inner Wears / Biscuits / Chocolates / Savories / Ice Creams. We also provided them Hair Clip, Earrings, Bangles, Sticker Bindhi for the girls, who were very happy on receiving the same. We conducted various games such as Drawing Completion, Balloon Bursting Competition, Anthakshari, Talent Show, etc. We spent some time with the children, by interacting, playing, with them. All the volunteers who had the opportunity to visit the home were overwhelmed on seeing the children happy and enjoying themselves.

Milk for a Poor / Orphan / Semi-Orphan / Destitute Women Home

We have been providing 6 Litres of Aavin Toned Milk on a daily basis for the past six months to Bharatha Matha Sevai Illam, Nandhiyambakkam, Chennai. At present this organization takes care of nearly 70 inmates (Orphan / Semi-Orphan Children – 60, Destitute Women – 10). Earlier there were 50 inmates. Now, we are providing them 6 Litres of Heritage Full Cream Milk on a daily basis, which will be for the next three months amounting to Rs. 6324.00 per month..






Subject Guides / Stationeries / Partial Amount towards Revised Advance of the Rental Home for a Poor/Orphan/Semi-Orphan Children Home

We have already provided a month’s provision in February 2009 to Gandhiji Rehabilitation Centre, Poonamallee, Chennai. At present this organization takes cares of nearly 25 inmates; almost all of them are orphan / semi-orphan. Last week we came to know that they were struggling to pay the New Revised Advance for the rental home, where they are residing. Hence, we have provided a partial amount of Rs. 10,000/- towards revised advance for the rental home. In addition to that, we provided them Subject Guides along with stationeries for the inmates of the home.

Attached is the Contribution & Expenses Open Account Sheet with Bill number column, for your reference, along with the scanned bills. We appreciate your valuable Suggestions/Comments about the event to plan and improve our future events. The excess amount of Rs. 21,537.10 would be utilized for September 2009 month’s event.
