Project #1

A Month’s Provision for a Poor / Orphan / Destitute Women’s Home @ Nandhiyambakkam, Chennai
For April 2010 month’s event, we visited Bharatha Matha Sevai Illam, Nadhiyambakkam, Chennai. At present this organization takes care of nearly 65 inmates (Poor / Orphan Children – 60, Destitute Women – 5). This home provides free food, shelter, medical care and other basic needs of life to the inmates besides providing school education to the inmates of the home. Children are studying in the nearby Government Schools. As per their request we provided a Month’s Provision for the home. We conducted various games such as Drawing Competition, Talent Show and awarded prizes to the children. We have already provided them a month’s provision in the month of January 2009 & September 2009.

Uniform Stitching Charges for Anbagam Orphanage Home, Dindigul (For the Living Care of HIV Affected Women & Children)
Anbagam Orphange Home, which is also called as DACS (Dindigul AIDS Control Society) is taking care of nearly 38 children, in which most of them are affected by HIV (Affected - Either Father (or) Mother of the Child died because of HIV, relations are not ready to adopt) and few of them are themselves infected by HIV. Most of the children in the home are below 9 years. This home provides free food, shelter, medical care and education for the children. We provided Stitching Charges of Two Uniform Sets for 21 children

Day-to-Day Basic needs for a Physically & Mentally Challenged Children Home @ Ambasamudhram
Annai Jothi Seva Trust was formed in January 2000 by a service minded person named Mrs. Dr. P. Jesy. This is a Welfare andRehabilitation Center for the Physically & Mentally Challenged Children. This home takes care of nearly 69 inmates (Mentally Challenged Children – 41, Mentally Challenged Adults – 7, Normal Orphan Children – 21). Every Mentally Challenged Children are trained according to his/her abilities. This home provides free food, shelter, medical care and other basic needs of life to the inmates besides providing school education to the inmates of the home. Mentally Challenged Children are studying in the residential school, which is situated in the home itself. Normal Children are sent to nearby schools for their studies. We came to know that there is an immediate need for their day-to-day basic needs. We provided them with Inner Wears as per the request of the home


Project #4

Educational Aid for a Poor College Girl
We came to know about a girl Ganga S. who needed help for pursuing her education. She was referred by Mr. Sargunam, Trustee of our partner organization India Sudar Educational and Charitable Trust” (www.indiasudar.org) Chennai and verified by Mr. Gopi (Member of India Sudar). Ganga is doing her B.Com., at Sokaikeda College, Sethu Bhaskara Nagar, Chennai. Her father was working in Washing Department and her mother is house wife. Her sister is pursuing her +2 Examinations. Currently, Ganga is doing Part Time Job in Jothi Readymades, Perambur during her Summer Holidays. Her third year College Fees is Rs. 6,375/- and needed our help for the same. We have provided the Third Year College Fees of Rs. 6,375/-Our Special thanks to India Sudar Educational and Charitable Trust for successful completion of this project.




Educational Aid for a Visually Challenged Student
We came to know about a Visually Challenged Student Bhavani K, who needs help for continuing her education. She was referred by Mr. Sathish, Member of our partner organization “Disha Foundation”, (http://disha.resolve.at) Chennai and verified by Miss. Uma, (Member of Disha Foundation). She is doing B.Ed., in “Our Lady Madha College of Education”, Maduravoyal. She hails from Orathanadu Taluk of Thanjavur District. Her father is the sole bread-winner and he is a Agricultural Labor and her mother is house wife. Her younger brother is doing his 10th Standard. Bhavani’s Total College fees is Rs. 50,000/-. Hence she is falling short of Rs. 9,500/- and she needs our help for the same. We have provided the Partial College Fees of Rs. 9,500/-Our Special thanks to Disha Foundation Team (Ravi, Dharmalakshmi, Uma) for successful completion of this project.


Project #6

Educational Aid for a Poor Student
We came to know about a girl Vini Rohiya P. who needed help for pursuing her education. She was referred and verified by Mr. Christopher, Friend of our Volunteer Jeyaseeralan. Vini Rohiya is doing her Diploma in Nursing & Midwifery Course at School of Nursing,Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College 
HospitalSalem. She hails from Kamuthi Taluk in Ramanad District. Her father was dead and her mother is working in Mid Day Meal Section in a Government SchoolHer First Year Total College Fees is Rs. 15,300/- and needed our help for the same. We have provided the Partial College Fees of Rs. 7,000/-

Attached is the Contribution & Expenses Open Account Sheet with Bill number column, for your reference, along with the scanned bills. We appreciate your valuable Suggestions/Comments about the event to plan and improve our future events. The excess amount of Rs. 33,967.35 would be utilized for May 2010 month’s event.
